Fun, Family and Washington D.C.

This week was such a fun and memorable week. We were able to visit Johne, Rochelle, Jack and Nate. We spent a the first few days just playing with the kids and watching movies in their amazing theater room. (It's better than any movie theater I have ever been in.)

The weather was perfect on Thursday so we went into Washington D.C. We saw so many great sights.
Brett enjoyed the Air and Space Smithsonian and Carter loved the animals in the Natural History Museum he loved the Bee Exhibit where live bees were busy working in their hive. My favorite was the Lincoln Memorial. We could have spent another week and not seen it all.

The next day was a fun day at beautiful Monticello. The flowers were all out and the gardens were just starting to sprout.
Carter ran all over and had so much fun playing in the dirt and following his dad and Grandpa. The last day was just a lazy day at Johne and Rochelle's house. We took the kids to the park and relaxed. We ended the day with an yummy BBQ. I think everybody has a bath time photo like this.

The flight home was interesting. We had to get up at four to catch our flight but when we got there the plane was to "Stinky" to board so we left an hour late making us miss our layover in New York so we spent an extra six hours at the airport. FUN!FUN! It made for a really long day but all in all it was a wonderful trip. I have to say thanks to Karen and LaRell for helping with Carter he loves you guys so much. You made it a lot easier on Brett and I. Thanks to Rochelle for the AMAZING food you are an excellent cook. I still want those recipes. Thanks to Johne for the awesome movies and all the fun. Oh and thanks for getting up so early to drive us to the airport. It was a great trip and we will enjoy the fun memories forever.

First Time Blogging

This is my first attempt at blogging so I hope you enjoy. We have enjoyed looking at our friends and families blogs and all their fun pictures and adventures that they have. I also think blogging will help me take more memorable pictures of my family. Carter grows up so quick and I can't believe how many fun picture opportunities I have all ready missed. This week Carter was able to attend a very WINDY Easter Egg Hunt. He figured it out fast I told him it was time to pick up candy like we pick up toys and he went to town. We are also getting ready to go visit Brett's Brother Johne and his family who lives by Washington D.C. They have two adorable little boys that Carter will get to play with. Brett is excited to visit his tech savvy brother and play with his toys and I am looking forward to spending time with my sister in law that is so fun to be with. We are lucky to be traveling with Karen and LaRell they are the best in-laws I could ask for. It will be nice to have help on the plane for Carter's first flight. So look forward for the next post about our fun trip.
